About Elvira Seger
Elvira was born in 1992 in Vaggeryd, Småland. She followed the classic cultural school path and started with the recorder as a child.
"My cultural school teacher let me experiment and test myself.
Over the years, I received e.g. try playing trombone, clarinet, trumpet
and piano. Thank you Staffan Boberg at Vaggeryd's cultural school!"
At the age of 10, she started playing the saxophone, which she still does today, but she has also added piano, vocals, electric bass and ukulele. The saxophone became like an extension of the voice and gave her all the tools she needed to be able to express herself across many styles.
"For me, the saxophone means constant development.
It is always possible to advance and invent new things with the scissors."
Today, Elvira Seger is a musician, saxophonist, composer, producer and songwriter and is based in Piteå, Norrbotten. She also runs the record company Oh, magic recordswho has released two records.
Elvira writes music for the projectsInner forest,Symphy'o,The musical Seaand tours with the duoElvira&Martin.
"What has always interested me is precisely the meeting that takes place
with the help of music. Improvisation means that you make things up
and it suits me quite well. I like to invent projects and have
mostly always a bunch of ideas."
